DeWalt DC925KA Heavy Duty 18-volt XRP Hammerdrill/Drill/Driver: Get it factory reconditioned

The DeWalt DC925KA Heavy Duty 18-volt XRP cordless Hammerdrill/Drill/Driver is a serious tool that will eat up anything that you throw at it. If you have a solid brick or concrete wall that you need to drill into, the dewalt built motor which provides 480 UWO (unit watts out) of power will go in like a hot knife through butter.
For those of you who don’t know what a hammer drill is, I will quickly explain. Unlike an impact driver that hammers in the direction of the rotation of the dill, a hammer drill works by hammering the bit in the direction of the object that you are drilling into. This allows holes to be drilled into hard materials with far less effort compared to regular drills.

The DeWalt DC925KA Heavy Duty 18-volt XRP Hammerdrill has a patented 3-speed, all-metal transmission with three drilling speeds: 0-450 rpm, 0-1,500 rpm, 0-2,000 rpm. The hammer function also has 3 blow speeds: 0-7,650 bpm (blows per minute) , 0-25,500 bpm, 0-34,000 bpm. The tool has 22 clutch settings for lots of control, a heavy-duty self-tightening chuck makes bit slippage a thing of the past and provides better torque at the bit.

Aside from all these heavy duty technical specs, what makes this Dewalt cordless power tool stand out from the rest is its toughness and ergonomics. I have heard stories of tools falling into water and working fine afterwards. From an operators perspective, this hammer drill feels great in your hand. The size, weight, and balance have all carefully been taken into account, and the result is really great.

Here is the downside: it has a huge price tag. Fortunately, Dewalt factory reconditioned cordless power tools are very good and are basically brand new. I suggest that you compare the price of a new tool to a reconditioned one before buying. You might save quite a bit of money.
